Description
This painting was inspired by the situation in Colombia during 2008. Ingrid Betancourt was finally released after 6 years of being hostage by the guerrilla. It seemed as if Colombia was left alone during this period. This canvas represents not only the kidnaping of Ingrid Betancourt but of so many other Colombians for so many years, yet there is hope. Not viewable as easy in the photo, the canvas has rope weaved into it around the subject. Mixed media is so much fun. Signed by me, Sandra Rincon. All my artwork are originals.
